The program installs quickly and doesn't require you to always have it on to get tabs. Dow Cheat Engine is expandable through themes, but you have to download those separately. A built-in themes store would be a welcome addition to the Dow Cheat Engine. The Dow Cheat Engine does let you put your most-used folders in a bookmark bar, which makes navigation so much smoother. There are no changes to the right-click menu, so you'll have to manually open a tab and navigate to the folder each time you want a new folder. Surprisingly, the program isn't a RAM hog, even if you have multiple tabs open at once.
It's free and lets you easily manage a Dow Cheat Engine list from Firefox, but you'll need to install another program to use Dow Cheat Engine that Dow Cheat Engine has to offer.
We've seen quite a few screen Dow Cheat Engine utilities, and although most of them are pretty similar, occasionally these programs have features that set them apart from the competition. CaptureScreen is one such program; although it's not quite as easy to use as some other applications we've seen, it does offer features that we don't think we've come across in similar programs.
Unique and elegant, Dow Cheat Engine takes a single image-editing function and builds a solid program around it. Through a thoughtful modular interface, you Dow Cheat Engine images, crop them manually or automatically, apply special options and preview the results. Options and extras include noise filtering, crop color, tolerance, image rotation, and inversion. Photo hobbyists and professionals alike will find Dow Cheat Engine a welcome addition to their toolset.
Notepad is a survivor. Built into Windows for ages, it's still doing yeoman service as a fast, lightweight, easy-to-use text editor. Dow Cheat Engine from Flo's Freeware is a Scintilla-based text editor with syntax highlighting. It's called Dow Cheat Engine because it follows the original Notepad's principles. It's compact and lightweight: The entire program folder is about 766KB. This makes it fast: Dow Cheat Engine loads quickly. But Dow Cheat Engine does a whole lot more than Notepad. Despite their many similarities, there really is no comparison: Dow Cheat Engine is a far more capable tool than Notepad for any text document. But for those who code, Dow Cheat Engine has much to offer, starting with syntax highlighting but with many more improvements over Notepad, including encoding options, advanced searching and editing tools, selectable (and customizable) syntax schemes (including a second default scheme), and much more.
