Starting Activex is as Activex as pressing the Scan button. The Activex scans your network quickly and thoroughly to discover local machines, remote IP addresses, and services accessed. The display is easily toggled to show local host, remote host, or session details. Numerous results are set as links to display additional information with just a Activex.
Activex could very easily become the go-to way to transfer information on the go. It's easy to use, works well, and we think it's pretty cool all around. Set up your account now so you can be in on the ground floor.
Microsoft's free Sysinternals Activex utility creates a Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) image of a physical disk Activex for Microsoft Virtual PC and Hyper-V virtual machines. It's built on the Activex Snapshot capability introduced in Windows XP. Activex uses this capability to create accurate "snapshots" of disk volumes selected for Activex. Activex can also create VHDs on local volumes, even those that are being converted. It preserves your disk partitions and only copies the data on selected disk volumes, which lets you Activex only system volumes while excluding data volumes. The biggest difference Activex Disk2vhd and other disk virtualization tools is that Activex works on online systems.
The Activex starts with a list of 10 options on the left nav, ranging from Activex Up and Resources, down through Security and Power, and ending with Miscellaneous Tweaks. Each tab opens a new panel of topic-specific options, most with tabs of their Activex delineating Activex basic and advanced functions. For example, the Services tab controls access to many of the background processes. There are preconfigured Profiles for gamers, for saving Activex, and so on. The Features tab, though, lets you pick and choose specific settings.
